HACU Career Readiness Certificate

The HACU Career Readiness Certificate prepares students for success in internships and the workplace. The program helps students build the skills employers value most and guides them in communicating those skills with confidence. 

Through online modules and career readiness webinars, students gain practical tools for resumes, cover letters, interviews, career fairs and professional workplace settings.  

Program Requirements 

  • To earn the certificate, students must complete eight self-paced TalentLMS modules.
  • Submit six reflections from Career Readiness Webinars  

Eligibility 

 The HACU Career Readiness Certificate is open to: 

  • Undergraduate and graduate students from all academic disciplines enrolled at a HACU-member institution.

There is no cost to participate. Participants should be motivated to engage in self-paced learning and actively participate in webinars and reflections.

Build self-awareness, identify values and strengths, and learn how to present skills to employers.

Explore workplace expectations, research opportunities, and prepare resumes, cover letters and interviews.

Learn professional conduct, workplace expectations, grooming, attire and career portfolio development.

Practice effective communication through conversations, writing, presentations and phone etiquette.

Develop collaboration skills, manage team conflict, participate in meetings and use workplace technology.

Strengthen self-leadership, productivity, time management and personal financial planning. 

Understand workplace ethics, safety expectations and ethical decision-making.

Develop leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, growth mindset and career planning skills.

The HACU Career Readiness Certificate helps students enter internships and full-time roles better prepared, more confident and ready to contribute from day one.
