HACU Faculty Mobility Alliance
An Opportunity for Faculty Engagement and Collaboration
The HACU Faculty Mobility Alliance (HFMA) fosters academic collaboration and professional development by facilitating enriching temporary academic appointments for scholars from domestic and international institutions of higher education. Opportunities include short-term visits, one-semester or full academic year appointments, as well as participation in sabbaticals. These placements support cross-institutional exchange, scholarly advancement, and the cultivation of global academic networks.
Program Objectives
- The HFMA strengthens academic ties between domestic and international institutions of higher education
- Provides faculty access to both national and international teaching and research, and fosters mutual cultural understanding
- Promoting joint curriculum and research initiatives supports scholars while expanding engagement across Hispanic-Serving Institutions.

Participants and institutions can expect a variety of outcomes, including initiating new faculty-led research collaborations, increased student exposure to global perspectives, and institutional ties with international counterparts, and the professional development of faculty.

Fees for Institutions
Per Posting (for the first 3 months)
- HACU Members: $300
- Non-Members: $600
After 3 months (per month)
- HACU Members: $199
- Non-Members: $299
*Fees will be adjusted January 1, 2026 to match current ProTalento pricings
Host Institutions
Submit Host Interest Form describing the opportunity, needs, support resources, and proposed activities. The opportunity will be posted to HACU’s ProTalento Job Board at www.jobs.hacu.net under the HACU Faculty Mobility Alliance profile.
Faculty Applicants
- Register and build a profile on ProTalento
- Submit letter of interest and CV
- Indicate preferences (region, discipline, type of opportunity)
- Apply according to provided instructions once matched to relevant openings

Unlike traditional job boards, HFMA is tailored for enrichment, not relocation, or permanent positions.
Can we submit more than one HFMA opportunity per season?
Institutions are welcome to submit multiple HFMA listings during a given season. Each listing should represent a distinct opportunity (e.g., different departments, formats, or academic needs). Each opportunity will be promoted individually in the HFMA profile on ProTalento and subject to the standard $300 listing fee per opportunity. To view current listings, please visit jobs.hacu.net.
