Hispanic-Serving School Districts (HSSD) – a school district where total Hispanic enrollment constitutes a minimum of 25% of the total district enrollment.
When you join the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) you become part of a network of over 500 colleges and universities that have said “yes” to championing higher education success.
Launched in 2006, the HSSD affiliation was started in order to address the many challenges facing both higher education and K-12 in recruiting, retaining, and graduating Hispanic students. The goal is to have HACU-member colleges and universities collaborate with HSSDs in an effort to frame, develop and carry out new and innovative initiatives that benefit their respective student populations and significantly increase student success.
Up to 3 designated faculty and staff can log into and access the HACU Membership Portal.
Administrators, faculty and staff can attend scheduled sessions in the HACU Webinar Series as well as view recordings of past sessions.
HACU conference discounts for all member institution employees, as well advertising and exhibitor opportunities at the Annual Conference, Capitol Forum, International conference, and International Symposium.
Each member district is listed in HACU’s online Membership Directory, its Annual Report and the Annual Conference Program.
Member districts receive discounts on creating job postings and subscriptions to HACU’s online employment resource, ProTalento: The Leading Job Board in Higher Education and K-12 Job Openings.
Member districts receive invitations to exclusive regional events such HACU on the Road.
