HACU announces speakers of 14th Annual Deans’ Forum

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the agenda and speakers of its 14th Annual Deans’ Forum, a pre-conference event taking place on Oct. 31, 2025, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, in conjunction with HACU’s 39th Annual Conference. The pre-conference event will address topics under the theme “Shaping Visionary Leaders for a Thriving and Democratic Future.” The Forum will be facilitated by Shannon L. Archibeque-Engle, Ph.D., associate vice president, office of engagement and extension, Colorado State University.

The keynote presenter will be Curt Freed, Ed.D., president of Morgan Community College, followed by a presentation from Mary Gutierrez, Ed.D., chancellor of The University of New Mexico-Taos. A Networking & Reflection Activity will be led by Shannon L. Archibeque-Engle, Ph.D., associate vice president, office of engagement and extension, Colorado State University.

The Senior Administrator panel will include: Reetika Dhawan, chief executive officer of entrepreneurial college, vice president of workforce & healthcare, Arizona Western College; Rudy M. Molina, Jr., Ph.D., Vice Provost, student academic success & enrollment management, James Madison University; Dilcie Pérez, Ed.D., deputy vice chancellor of academic & student affairs, California State University System, and Ariel C. Armony, Ph.D., Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Babson College.

The Forum offers deans from colleges and universities across the country an opportunity to dialogue on the state of higher education at their campuses, with table discussions and networking opportunities an integral part of the Forum.
