The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced National Hispanic-Serving Institutions Week will be observed September 8 – 14, 2025.
This is a key opportunity to highlight the essential role Hispanic-Serving Institutions play in serving students and their communities by sustaining educational opportunity, preparing a skilled workforce, and supporting local economies.
To support your efforts, HACU is providing:
- HSI Toolkit ready-to-use text and graphics for social media to amplify your institution’s impact.
- Action Alert to Share Your HSI Story: students, alumni, faculty, and community partners can share how HSIs have made a difference in their lives. These stories demonstrate to Members of Congress why the HSI program is essential.
It is critical to highlight the role of HSIs during this week to ensure every student has the opportunity to earn a degree, pursue a career, and contribute fully to their community.
HACU-member HSIs are encouraged to observe the week with campus activities to heighten awareness of the important role HSIs play in improving access to education and advancing equity for traditionally underserved students.
Recognize and amplify National HSIs Week and Tag @HACUNews on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Threads and use hashtag #HSIsWeek. Or email HACU at news@hacu.net to share your stories and to let the Association know what your institution has planned.
