HNIP is accepting applications from college students and recent graduates for the spring 2027 session. The spring session dates are Jan. 4 – April 16, 2027. The online application deadline is Nov. 20, 2026.

HNIP fosters the professional development of all students by partnering with corporate and federal entities to offer internships preparing the next generation of leaders, and bridging the gap between academics and real-world experience.

College students are placed at federal agencies for a 15-week session. Internships are in Washington, D.C., and field offices nationwide and are offered as virtual, hybrid, or in-person opportunities.

Internships are available to currently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students in any major. Students must have completed their first year of undergraduate studies. For complete eligibility and to apply click here.
