HACU’s 38th Annual Conference to feature workshops on capacity-building for Hispanic-Serving Institutions and Emerging HSIs

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced its 38th Annual Conference will feature workshops on “Capacity Building for Hispanic-Serving Institutions and Emerging HSIs,” under track one. More than 50 workshops that address the theme, “Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success: Reaching New Heights of Excellence and Equity,” will be offered in seven tracks. The Conference will be held in person at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Nov. 1-3, 2024, in conjunction with pre-conference events.

The following are the workshop topics to be presented under Track One – Capacity-Building for Hispanic-Serving Institutions and Emerging HSIs:

  • Transforming HSIs for Equity & Justice
  • Standing-up an HSI Initiatives Office: The UArizona Case Study
  • Leading towards HSI “Servingness” through Strategy and an Equity-minded approach
  • Exploring NSF Opportunities to Support Broadening Participation at Hispanic-Serving Institutions
  • Building Research Capacity with the All of Us Research Program
  • How Nevada’s first Hispanic-Serving Institution Led to Statewide Transformational Change
  • Keys to Success in Growing Philanthropic Support for Hispanic-Serving Institutions
  • Boundary Pushing: The Journey toward Hispanic-Serving at a Rural HSI
