  • 234 - 2 YEAR PUBLIC
  • 178 - 4 YEAR PUBLIC
  • 8 – 2 YEAR PRIVATE
  • 180 – 4 YEAR PRIVATE
  • 600 TOTAL HSIs in 28 STATES, the DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND PUERTO RICO

HACU analysis of 2022-23 IPEDS data defining emerging HSIs as nonprofit, degree-granting institutions with full-time equivalent (FTE) undergraduate Hispanic student enrollment of at least 15% but less than 25%. Findings include:

  • 114 - 2 YEAR PUBLIC
  • 110 - 4 YEAR PUBLIC
  • 4 - 2 YEAR PRIVATE
  • 184 - 4 YEAR PRIVATE
  • 412 TOTAL HSIs in 43 STATES AND the DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
