HACU webinar on rescinding of federal funding freeze and next steps

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will host a member webinar, “Update on Rescinding of Federal Funding Freeze and Next Steps,” on January 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. CT. The discussion will focus on the rescinding of the recent federal funding freeze executive directive and how HACU intends to proceed in protecting and enhancing funding for Hispanic-Serving Institutions.

The panel will feature Immediate Past-Chair of HACU’s Governing Board and Alamo Colleges District Chancellor Mike Flores, HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores, and HACU Executive Vice President for Policy and Government Relations Lena Rodriguez. Panelists will discuss implications of the freeze for colleges and universities and current efforts of the Association. A Q&A session will follow the presentations.
