HACU presents awards at Partnership Lunch at 39th Annual Conference

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities presented three awards on Nov. 3, 2025, during the Partnership Lunch at its 39th Annual Conference. Daniel Lopez, Ph.D., HACU Governing Board vice chair and president of Harold Washington College served as convener.

Dominion Energy was the recipient of the Outstanding Private Sector Partner Award with Maria Pia Tamburri, vice president of intergovernmental affairs accepting on their behalf. Stephanie Rodriguez, cabinet secretary of New Mexico’s Higher Education Department was the recipient of the Outstanding Public Sector Partner Award. Community College of Aurora received the Outstanding HACU-Member Institution Award, with President Mordecai Brownlee, Ph.D., accepting on their behalf.

Partner and sponsor remarks were given by Molson Coors Community Affairs Manager Lacey Golonka, and Lt. Col. Lynae Place, deputy commander of nursing at the 627th Hospital Center, Fort Carson.

The Partnership Lunch was part of HACU’s 39th Annual Conference, “Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success: Forging Transformational Leaders to Uplift Democracy and Prosperity,” held Nov. 1-3, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. HACU thanks all of its partners and sponsors for their support of its 39th Annual Conference.
