The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has partnered with Las Vegas Sands to offer thirteen Sands Hospitality Advancement Scholarships in the amount of $2,500 or $5,000 to college students enrolled at HACU-member institutions in these designated areas:
Las Vegas, Nevada:
- University of Nevada Las Vegas – (3) scholarships at $5,000
- College of Southern Nevada – (2) scholarships at $2,500
Texas
- University of North Texas (Main Campus/Denton) – (4) scholarships at $5,000
- Dallas College – (4) scholarships at $2,500
The scholarships are available to undergraduate students pursuing Hospitality (or related field with an interest in working in the hospitality industry) who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Majoring in hospitality.
- Must be attending a 2-year or 4-year HACU-member Institution.
- Must be freshman, sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate student.
- Enrolled part-time or full-time
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
