HACU National Internship Program bids farewell to summer interns with a virtual ceremony

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities bid farewell to its 2024 summer interns with a virtual ceremony on Aug. 8, 2024. The participants were undergraduate and graduate students who served internships with federal agencies across the country, as part of the HACU National Internship Program.

Executive Director of HNIP Diana Vasquez welcomed and congratulated the interns on completing their internship. A keynote address was given by Virgilio Barrera, former HNIP intern and current Senior Vice President for Cassidy & Associates.

Remarks were given by current interns Thaniya Shankar, Victoria Macali, and David Muñoz, who shared their internship experiences for this session and highlighted the recipient of the HNIP Champion Award, Larry Cordova.

HACU is accepting applications for the 2025 spring internship session. Internship dates are Jan. 6 – April 18, 2025. Applications will be accepted until Oct. 18, 2024. Information about eligibility and online application is available here.
