The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the speakers of its Town Hall taking place on Nov. 3, 2025, as part of the 39th Annual Conference, being held in Aurora, Colorado.
The HACU Town Hall, “The Heart of Change: Elevating HSIs Through Advocacy, Justice, and Courageous Leadership,” will bring together a panel of leaders at the forefront of issues affecting Hispanic-Serving Institutions. Speakers include Fran Fajana, J.D., director of racial justice strategy, LatinoJustice PRLDEF; Francisco Pardo, J.D., director of legal resources, National Association of College and University Attorneys; and Stephanie Rodriguez, Cabinet Secretary, New Mexico Higher Education Department and Aaron D. Ford, Attorney General, State of Nevada.
Discussions will include the initial process with the July 24, 2025, filing of HACU’s Motion to Intervene in Tennessee and Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. U.S. Department of Education, as well as status updates. Speakers will share how they are moving the agenda forward on Capitol Hill, and state leaders will discuss how they are working to protect HSIs to uplift their communities, along with insights on how attendees can continue the work on their own campuses.
