The second presentation “From Campus to Community: Empowering Global Scholars Through Collaborative Action,” will explore how Columbus Academy’s Global Scholars program leverages community partnerships to engage students and alumni through collaborative action-oriented projects presented at a local university.
The third presentation, “Equity in Action: Aligning Schools, Community College, and Workforce for Student Success,” will highlight strategies for cross-sector collaborations connecting educational pathways with workforce needs and opportunities through institutional partnerships, demystifying higher education and college readiness.
Following a joint professional leadership programs luncheon, the symposium will conclude with the presentation “From Classroom to Career: Building an Equitable College & Career Pathway System Through a District-Community College Partnership,” which will examine the expansion of equitable college and career pathways as a replicable framework through collaboration between the San Diego Unified School District and the San Diego Community College District.
The annual symposium brings together higher educational leaders, PreK-12 educators, administrators and community leaders to discuss strategies that strengthen alignment across PreK-12 and higher education and support student success.
