HACU accepting applications for student research poster competition

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is accepting applications for its Student Research Poster Competition, which will give college students and opportunity to showcase original research during HACU’s 40th Annual Conference.

The competition will be held on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center, in Chula Vista, California. HACU’s 40th Annual Conference is scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Conference registration is not required for participation.

Students can submit research in the following areas: STEM, health sciences, business, education, social sciences, visual arts, and creative media. Culture Is Currency Innovation Pathway submissions are also eligible.

Students will submit a 250-word research abstract and prepare a 48”x36” research poster in PowerPoint or PDF format submitted as a digital file. Participants will present their work as part of a three-minute presentation during the competition and respond to questions from the judges. Prizes recognizing first, second, and third place will be presented during the closing ceremony of the conference.

To be eligible, participants must be enrolled at a college or university, present original research, be the primary researcher, have advisor approval when applicable.
