The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has partnered with Ford Philanthropy to award 11 scholarships varying between $5,000 – $10,000. The scholarships are available to eligible first-generation undergraduate college students at HACU-member institutions.
The Ford Philanthropy Scholarships are available to students who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a first-generation college students.
- Must be classified as a freshman or sophomore entering their sophomore or junior year during the fall 2026 semester.
- Majoring in one of the following: computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and data science.
- Must demonstrate financial need upon application.
Students must also submit a 200-300 word essay, describing a concrete strategy you intend to use with your degree to cultivate essential Future of Work Skills and make a meaningful contribution to society.
