The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities President and CEO Antonio R. Flores joined Manhattanville College President Frank Sánchez, Ph.D., for an official signing of membership into the Association on Oct. 12, 2023. The college recently received designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), as well as appointing Sanchez as president in July 2023.

“Manhattanville College has served their students and community with an unwavering focus on ensuring success for all, and their recent designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution highlights the expansion of that focus,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “Their membership with HACU will provide new opportunities, tools and a robust network of partners and supporters that will create pathways to brighter futures for all of their students.”

The event brought the Manhattanville College community together with HACU staff, local business and non-profit leaders, and local officials. Flores also provided a keynote address with insights on HSIs shaping the future of higher education and the current federal funding landscape.
