HACU presents award at the Power Lunch of its 39th Annual Conference on Hispanic higher education

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities presented an award on Nov. 2, 2025, during the Power Lunch at its 39th Annual Conference. Katrina Bell-Jordan, Ph.D., president of Northeastern Illinois University, served as convener.

Tito Guerrero, Ph.D., former director of HACU’s Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo, was recognized as the recipient of the HACU Lifelong Leadership Award. Neva Lozada, Ed.D., vice president of administration at Kean University accepted the award on his behalf. Partner and sponsor remarks were given by Erick Linares, senior tax consultant at Deloitte.

The Power Lunch was part of HACU’s 39th Annual Conference, “Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success: Forging Transformational Leaders to Uplift Democracy and Prosperity,” held Nov. 1-3, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. HACU thanks partners and sponsors for their support of its 39th Annual Conference.
