HACU hosts International Symposium Student Track in San José, Costa Rica, June 8-12, 2025

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities brought college students together for its International Symposium’s Student Track June 8-11, 2025, at the Costa Rica Marriot Hotel Hacienda Belén.

The Student Track opened with a welcome dinner to kick off a four-day event focused on leadership and international education sessions. Speakers include leaders and high-level staff from both international and U.S. colleges and universities.

The Student Track sessions focus on study abroad opportunities and the benefits of an international education in a global economy. Student Track agenda sessions include “The Importance of Study Abroad and International Exchange Opportunities,” “The Importance of Mentoring Experience for Underrepresented Students While Abroad,” “Shaping your STEM Future: Tools, Goals and Growth,” and “AI in Higher Ed: Unlocking the Future of Learning and Career Readiness.”

Included in the Student Track experience are visits to the campuses of the Universidad de Iberoamérica, Universidad Hispanoamericana, and Universidad Santa Paula. The Symposium is sponsored by GlobalEdu Consortium/Costa Rica.
