The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and Hispania, escuela de Español in Valencia are accepting applications from Spanish language faculty and staff at HACU-member institutions for the Teaching Spanish Scholarship, a one-week immersive program in Valencia, Spain, enhancing Spanish language instruction.
Hispania, escuela de español offers 20 scholarships to invite faculty from the Spanish as a Foreign Language area and higher education profile to Valencia, for one week.
This invitation is primarily directed at institutions/professors who are considering whether Hispania and Valencia, Spain could be a suitable destination for a formative extension for their students.
The scholarship covers tuition for a specialized course at Hispania, escuela de Español, including cultural activities deepening understanding of the Spanish language and culture. Participants gain firsthand experience in innovative language teaching methodologies while exploring Valencia as a potential study-abroad destination for students. A limited number of scholarships are available.
Selected participants can choose a week from either June 22-28 or July 6-12, 2025. The application deadline is April 27, 2025, and selected participants will be notified the first week of May 2025.
