Professional Programs

HACU offers professional programs for administrators, faculty, and staff in collaboration with other HACU programs and external partners to develop transformational academic leaders serving present and future generations.

The Ascend PreK-12 Leadership Program is a six-month cohort-based program guiding educators, academic leaders, teachers, coordinators, supervisors, directors, and deans in effectively leading schools and school districts in a constantly evolving landscape.   

The Enlace Mid-Level Leadership program is a six-month development experience for college and university professionals serving around the mid-level of their organizations.

The HACU Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo, is a one-year program to prepare the next generation of culturally diverse leaders for executive and senior level positions in higher education.

Student Programs

Thousands of students benefit from HACU’s internships, scholarships, and career and leadership development opportunities and programs each year, serving as a steppingstone in their academic and professional journey.

HACU’s ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute is a three day career leadership & development networking symposium designed to build the career & leadership skills of undergraduate students.

In partnership with Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), Capital One is pleased to host the Capital One Launchpad: Legacy & Leadership Program.

HACU and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) are partnering together to select up to 30 college freshmen and sophomores to travel to Washington D.C. and participate in a four-day career exploration event.

HACU Emerging Leaders’ Summits are designed for students from HACU-member institutions seeking to develop their leadership skills.

The Galeno Program offered by HACU in partnership with Universidad de Iberoamérica Costa Rica (UNIBE) provides a medical education for aspiring physicians with UNIBE’s innovative, world-class Doctorate of Medicine and Surgery. 

Grow with Google is an initiative to create economic opportunity for American job seekers and businesses by making helpful products, sharing free tools, and providing skills training.

Through this national initiative, HACU and Southwest Airlines will award roundtrip flights to undergraduate and graduate students across the country. 

Voces Nuevas Program (translated in English to New Voices) is a student advocacy and leadership program designed to elevate, uplift, and empower undergraduate students’ voices and experiences.

DoctoreX is committed to increasing Hispanic representation in medicine by breaking down educational barriers with bilingual and bicultural support.

Initiatives & Partner Programs

Through a partnership between HACU and Dominion Energy, the Building Hispanic Talent Initiative aims to increase the number of Hispanic undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing careers in clean energy and more specifically, career opportunities at Dominion Energy.
