Eligibility

Associate Member Institution (AMI)

a nonprofit, accredited college, university, or system/district in the U.S. or Puerto Rico, where at least 1,000 Hispanic students are enrolled or total Hispanic enrollment constitutes at least 10% of the total enrollment at the undergraduate or graduate level or both.

When you join the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) you become part of a network of over 500 colleges and universities that have said “yes” to championing higher education success. 

Membership Benefits

Student access to HACU’s Scholarship Program and the HACU National Internship Program (HNIP).

Leadership and career development programs such as the La Academia De Liderazgo / Leadership Academy, Enlace Mid-Level Leadership Program, Ascend PreK-12 Leadership Program, and other opportunities for member institution administrators, faculty and staff. 

Up to 14 designated faculty and staff can log into and access the HACU Membership Portal. 

Administrators, faculty and staff can attend scheduled sessions in the HACU Webinar Series as well as view recordings of past sessions. 

HACU conference discounts for all member institution employees, as well advertising and exhibitor opportunities at the Annual Conference, Capitol Forum, International conference, and International Symposium. 

Each member campus is listed in HACU’s online Membership Directory, its Annual Report and the Annual Conference Program. 

Member institutions receive discounts on creating job postings and subscriptions to HACU’s online employment resource, ProTalento: The Leading Job Board in Higher Education and K-12 Job Openings. 

Member institutions receive invitations to exclusive regional events such HACU on the Road and Emerging Leaders Summits.

Member institutions receive a free digital subscription to HACU’s quarterly magazine. 

HACU’s research team gathers and contextualizes content and data specific to HSIs and Emerging HSI’s important to understanding and supporting their work educating America’s workforce.

Weekly member advisories provide updates on HACU’s student and professional programs, initiatives, and calls to action that advance policy and legislation in support of member institutions.
