HACU hosts Executive Leadership Seminar in San José, Costa Rica, June 8-12, 2025

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities welcomed participants to its pre-conference Executive Leadership Seminar taking place June 8-11, 2025, at the Costa Rica Marriot Hotel Hacienda Belén.

The Seminar opened with a welcome reception to kick off a four-day event focused on leadership and international education sessions. Speakers include leaders and high-level staff from both international and U.S. colleges and universities.

Among the agenda sessions for the Executive Leadership Seminar are “A Small Country with a Big Vision: Preventive Medicine,” “Institutional Alliances in Research: Building Knowledge for Global Impact,” “Internationalization and Community: the Universidad Hispanoamericana Approach,” and “CIELO: Transforming Health Education to Prevent Childhood Obesity and Promote Mental Health.”

Included in the Seminar are visits to the campuses of the Universidad de Iberoamérica, Universidad Hispanoamericana, and Universidad Santa Paula, with highlights of each institution’s key international education strategies and activities.

At the conclusion of the Seminar, fellows of the sixth cohort of HACU’s Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo will receive program completion certificates during a graduation ceremony.

The Executive Leadership Seminar is a pre-conference event of HACU’s International Symposium, taking place June 12, 2025. The Symposium is sponsored by GlobalEdu Consortium/Costa Rica.
