HACU accepting applications for Voces Nuevas Program for undergraduate students

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced applications are being accepted for the HACU Voces Nuevas Program, a competitive eight-month program where 50 students from HACU-member institutions across the U.S. and Puerto Rico receive leadership, advocacy and career development training.

Selected participants of the Voces Nuevas Program will have the opportunity to apply for sponsorship to attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute, which is part of the Student Track at HACU’s 39th Annual Conference. This event will take place from November 1-3, 2025, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado. (Includes conference registration, three conference breakfast and lunches. Travel and lodging are also included for non-local students only.)

In addition, Participants may apply for sponsorship to HACU’s 31st Annual National Capitol Forum on Higher Education, scheduled to be held at the Hilton Washington, D.C. Capitol Hill in April 2026.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and must be enrolled at a college or university in the fall 2025.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to be sponsored by a corporate, federal, or nonprofit sponsor.
  • Have not received a HACU Conference Sponsorship for the Annual Conference or Capitol Forum in previous years.
