HACU is offering the HACU Pathways Early Career Leadership Program, designed to prepare entry-level higher education professionals for future leadership roles. HACU announces students selected for the Voces Nuevas Program

HACU has announced 75 students from HACU-member institutions have been selected to the Voces Nuevas Program. The eight-month program provides students the opportunity to develop leadership and advocacy skills while serving as HACU ambassadors promoting the Association’s programs. More>>

HACU's 40th Annual Conference taking place in Chula Vista, California, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2, 2026

The 40th Annual Conference will be held on Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center in Chula Vista, California. More than 50 workshops will be offered under seven tracks centered on the theme “40 Years of Championing Higher Education Success: One Graduate at a Time.”

HACU urges Governor Newsom to sign SB 1255, Designation of California Hispanic-Serving Institutions Act

HACU has called on California Governor Gavin Newsom to sign SB 1255, authored by Senator Eloise Gómez Reyes (SD-29) and coauthored by Assemblymember Mike Fong (AD-49). The legislation establishes a state-level framework for the designation of California HSIs, along with an administrative framework for recognizing qualifying institutions. More>>
