HACU's 40th Annual Conference in Chula Vista, California, Oct. 31 – Nov. 2, 2026

HACU will hold its 40th Annual Conference on Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center in Chula Vista, California. More than 50 workshops will be offered under seven tracks and centered on the theme “40 Years of Championing Higher Education Success: One Graduate at a Time.”

Pre-conference events include the 25th Annual Higher Education Leadership Institute, 15th Annual Deans’ Forum, 12th Annual PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium and Fourth Annual Women’s Leadership Symposium. HACU, Conectado to host online AI academy

HACU, in collaboration with Conectado, will host an online AI Academy for students, faculty, and staff from HACU-member institutions on July 16- 17, 2026. The deadline is July 15, 2026. More>>

Applications open for HACU's VOLARÉ Institute

Apply by July 15, 2026, for the third cohort of HACU's VOLARÉ Institute. The yearlong program helps colleges and universities strengthen research capacity through a three-day in-person institute, virtual cohort sessions and strategic planning support. There are no participation fees, and in-person session costs are subsidized. More>>

HNIP accepting applications for fall session

Applications are open for college students and recent graduates for the fall 2026 internship session. The fall session dates are Aug. 31–Dec. 11, 2026. The application deadline is July 15, 2026. More>>

HACU to host virtual Emerging Leaders Summit

HACU will host a virtual Emerging Leaders’ Summit for college students on July 31, 2026, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. CT. Undergraduate students of all majors who are enrolled at a HACU-member institution can sign up to attend. The one-day Summit will provide students with an opportunity to learn about career opportunities from industry professionals. More>>
