The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced applications are being accepted for the inaugural Ascend Leadership program offered fall 2025. The program is a cohort-based six-month program helping educators effectively lead schools and school districts in a constantly evolving landscape. A limited number of scholarships are currently available. HACU will award scholarships of $1,500 to the initial twenty participants selected to the program.
Program participants engage in presentations and activities focused on PreK-12 leadership theory, educational policy and organizational management. Participants engage in practical skills for principal and superintendent career development for serving within PreK-12 schools and districts.
An online orientation session will be held in October 8, 2025. The program will consist of nine online webinars beginning in November and ending in March 2026.
Academic leaders, teachers, coordinators, supervisors, directors, and deans are encouraged to apply. The extended application and nomination deadline is Aug. 1, 2025. Notification of acceptance is on Aug. 31. Information on the program, cost and application process are available on the program website. Applications and nominations can be made online.
