The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced applications/nominations are being accepted for the inaugural Ascend PreK-12 Leadership Program. The program is a cohort-based online program helping educators effectively lead schools and school districts in a constantly evolving landscape. HACU will award scholarships of $3,000 to the initial 20 participants selected to the program.
Participants explore practical strategies across resilient leadership, team culture, policy and compliance, family partnership, cross-sector collaboration, and funding innovation. Each session pairs a national researcher with a practicing PreK-12 leader, providing one resource participants can use immediately.
The program consists of online webinars beginning in January and ending in May 2026. The first online webinar session will take place on Jan. 20, 2025.
PreK-12 educators and rising leaders with at least 1.5 years of experience seeking to deepen their leadership are encouraged to apply. The program is ideal for teachers, coordinators, specialists, and new principals.
Application and nomination deadline is Jan. 10, 2026. Eligibility, information on the program, cost and application process are available on the program website. Applications and nominations can be made online by clicking here.
