The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities’ President and CEO Antonio R. Flores visited Hudson County Community College, on February 24, 2025, for a Fireside Chat with HCCC President Christopher Reber, followed by a luncheon and roundtable discussion with campus and student leaders. The discussion covered HACU’s origin and mission advancing higher education success for students at Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and how the Association is meeting its strategic priorities.
President Flores and HACU staff visited the Borough of Manhattan Community College as part of its HACU On the Road tour on Feb. 25, 2024. The event brought together members of the higher education community and leaders from the surrounding area for a presentation from President Flores.
The HACU On the Road event included welcome remarks from BMCC President Anthony E. Munroe, Ed.D. The HACU presentation included a discussion on the state of higher education, HACU programs and international initiatives. Other topics discussed included supporting student success at HSIs, advocacy, and other initiatives.
HACU on the Road is an initiative designed to promote national and international dialogue about the state of higher education among chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, corporate leaders, and supporters of HSIs and the students they serve.
