HACU launches resource webpage for undocumented students

SAN ANTONIO – The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has launched a webpage containing resources vital to protecting undocumented students, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program recipients, as well as their families and communities. These resources can support administrators, faculty and other students in protecting physical safety as well as privacy and data rights during any interactions with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

The resources have been gathered from various allies, partners and member institutions, and were created by supporters committed to the education and safety of this population. Many of these linked sources address legal and administrative avenues available to protect rights and protections under due process.

Legal recourses available to colleges and universities protecting undocumented students vary from state-to-state and city-to-city, and the resources offered on the website will be regularly updated as more become available. This information should be considered a starting point rather than a comprehensive guide to navigating the current environment.
