HACU with Steve Fund announce HACU-member institutions for EMHC cohort

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and the Steve Fund have announced the seven HACU-member institutions receiving awards to join the fall 2024 cohort of the Equity in Mental Health on Campus (EMHC) initiative. The following institutions were chosen for the cohort:

  • Cerritos College
  • Gavilan College
  • New Mexico Highlands University
  • North Shore Community College
  • Pikes Peak State College
  • Southwestern University
  • University of Redlands

The EMHC initiative complements existing institutional efforts to initiate changes in campus climate, policies, programs, and services that affect the mental health and well-being of students of color. The initiative offers colleges and universities a campus-specific needs assessment report with recommendations, engagement with a dedicated coach providing guidance through the process, and participation in a national cohort of institutions committed to supporting and addressing student mental health needs. The mission and goal of the EMHC initiative can be found here
