HACU Webinar: Increasing HSI Community College Students’ Career-Aligned Professional Connections

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is hosting a HACU-member webinar titled, “Increasing HSI Community College Students’ Career-Aligned Professional Connections,” on Feb. 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. CT.

The webinar will highlight Community College of Aurora’s implementation of a career readiness measurement tool and social capital curriculum designed to increase students’ career-aligned social professional connections and drive post-graduation employability.

Presenters will share insights from a case study, including best practices and lessons learned, and provide actionable strategies for other Hispanic-Serving Institutions to enhance their students’ career readiness.

The webinar will be presented by Bonnie Hart, coordinator of career coaching and readiness at Community College of Aurora, Marieli Rubio, partner and director of impact at Career Launch, and Julie LaRock, director of student leadership and development at Community College of Aurora.
