HACU's 38th Annual Conference to feature workshops on federal and state advocacy, policy and research

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced its 38th Annual Conference will feature topics on “Federal and State Advocacy, Policy and Research,” under track five. More than 50 workshops that address the theme, "Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success: Reaching New Heights of Excellence and Equity," will be offered in seven tracks. The Conference will be held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, Nov. 1-3, 2024, in conjunction with pre-conference events.

The following are the workshop topics to be presented under Track Five – Federal and State Advocacy, Policy and Research:

  • Federal Funding for Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs)
  • HACU Government Relations Briefing
  • A Charla with USDA – A Fireside Chat with USDA Leadership on USDA’s Engagement with the Hispanic and Latina/o Community
  • Higher Education Legal Update
  • Fireside Chat with Federal Agency Leaders
  • Intersectionality as Inquiry & Praxis for Advancing Equity Metrics & Student Success in Hispanic-Serving Institutions
