HACU names Pamela Garza executive director of the Institute of Global Engagement

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced the appointment of Pamela Garza as executive director of the Institute of Global Engagement.

Garza will oversee recruitment for international institutions, affiliates and development of global partnerships. She will also assist with coordination of the international conference and events for the Association, as well as programming and services for the Institute of Global Engagement.

Garza has over a decade of experience in higher education beginning at Relay Graduate School of Education as a senior manager of prospective student advising, and project director for the prefreshman engineering program at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She also served in the office of international programs at The University of Texas-Pan American.

She earned a bachelor’s from The University of Texas-Pan American, a master's from The University of Texas at San Antonio, and is currently completing a doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.
