HACU partners with Las Vegas Sands to offer Sands Hospitality Advancement Scholarships

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has partnered with Las Vegas Sands to offer thirteen Sands Hospitality Advancement Scholarships in the amount of $2,500 or $5,000 to college students enrolled at HACU-member institutions in these designated areas:

Las Vegas, Nevada:

  • University of Nevada Las Vegas – (3) scholarships at $5,000
  • College of Southern Nevada – (2) scholarships at $2,500

Texas

  • University of North Texas (Main Campus/Denton) – (4) scholarships at $5,000
  • Dallas College – (4) scholarships at $2,500

The scholarships are available to undergraduate students pursuing Hospitality (or related field with an interest in working in the hospitality industry) who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Majoring in hospitality.
  • Must be attending a 2-year or 4-year HACU-member Institution.
  • Must be freshman, sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate student.
  • Enrolled part-time or full-time
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
