HACU accepting applications for Southwest Airlines Lanzate Travel Award Program for college students

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and Southwest Airlines have announced the 2024 ¡Lánzate! Travel Award Program. Online applications will be accepted from college student through April 26, 2024.  For complete eligibility and additional guidelines, click here.

“For many students the challenge of leaving home for the first time is debilitating in their pursuit for higher education,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “The ¡Lánzate! Travel Award Program, a successful partnership between HACU and Southwest Airlines for nearly two decades, has allowed students the opportunity to stay connected with their families while remaining focused on their educational pursuits.”

Southwest Airlines tickets are awarded to undergraduate and graduate Hispanic students with socio-economic needs who journey away from home to pursue higher education. Students must submit an essay and enrollment verification with their application. Each student is eligible to receive between one and four e-passes for use by the student or immediate family to travel to/from a college or university.
