HACU accepting Ford Fund Scholarship applications
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has partnered with the Ford Motor Company Fund to award scholarships to eligible undergraduate and graduate students at HACU-member institutions. A total of seventeen ($5,000) Ford Fund Scholarships will be awarded.
The Ford Fund Scholarships are available to students who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Open to students majoring in the following:
- Engineering: Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Process, Quality, Software, Environmental, Computer, Robotics, Systems, Battery, Automation Controls, Industrial, Safety, Materials, Mechatronics.
- Math and Science - related to Information Technology, Data, Cyber-Security, Sustainability, Chemistry, Materials Science.
- Urban and Regional Planning
- Skilled Trades & Certifications relevant to automotive industry: Electrical, Machining, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Welding, Tool Operating, Manufacturing Assembling, Production Technician, Automotive and Collision Technician.
- Must be attending a two-year or four-year HACU-Member institution.
- Open to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Enrolled part-time or full-time.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Must also submit a 250-500-word essay, explaining how this scholarship will enable them to build work skills that create a pathway to a career in electric vehicle, digital skills, mobility and advanced manufacturing or other field related to the major areas of study required to be eligible for the scholarship.
