The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and Capital One are bringing college students from across the U.S. to the four-day Hispanic-Serving Institutions Immersion Program at the Plano, Texas Capital One campus, July 24–27, 2023. Capital One leaders will conduct sessions focused on career advancement skills in both one-on-one and group settings, as well as presentations from experienced business and corporate professionals.
Students will experience networking events, interview presentations that will include headshots, mock interviews, resume reviews, LinkedIn profile reviews, an icebreaker activity and an “elevator pitch” activity. Other sessions will cover careers at Capital One, technology in the workplace, business resource groups oriented around career development and mentoring, financial literacy, and competitive group presentations. On completion of the four-day program, students are eligible for a $1,000 stipend to support their academic studies. Click here for a full list of participating students.
