The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities hosted the International Symposium, “Transforming the U.S. - México/Latin America Collaborative Landscape,” in Guadalajara, México on June 22-23, at the Hotel RIU Plaza Guadalajara. The Symposium showcased current issues and trends in international education.
Sessions included, “Challenges and Opportunities for International Education in Mexico and Latin America,” “Resources and Best Practices in International Education,” and “Reflections on the Challenges, Opportunities, Resources and Best Practices Regarding International Education in Mexico and Latin America.” Panelists included academics and leaders from colleges and universities in the U.S. and México, and representatives from non-profit organizations from both countries.
The Symposium brought a large number of administrators, academics and students from HACU-member institutions, as well as corporate partners and other organizations to discuss international collaborations, including for the International Symposium’s Student Track and the pre-conference Executive Leadership Seminar (see related article here). Fellows from HACU’s Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo also attended as part of the Academy’s training.
