HACU hosts Executive Leadership Seminar, Symposium Student Track in Guadalajara, México, June 19-22, 2023

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities brought together approximately 120 participants to its Executive Leadership Seminar and International Symposium Student Track June 19-22, 2023, at the Hotel RIU Plaza Guadalajara.

The Seminar and Student Track opened with a welcome reception to kick off a four-day event focused on leadership and international education sessions. Speakers include leaders and high-level staff from both international and U.S. colleges and universities. Campus visits to the Universidad de Guadalajara and Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara include presentations on highlights of international education strategies and activities.

The Student Track sessions focus on study abroad opportunities and the benefits of an international education in a global economy. The agenda for the International Symposium’s Student Track includes panelists representing top Mexican and U.S. schools as well as advocacy leaders with perspectives on leveraging international connections. On-line and in-person study abroad opportunities will also be covered.

The Executive Leadership Seminar is part of pre-conference events of the HACU International Symposium, taking place June 22-23, 2023.

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).
