HACU and Google partner on Latinx Student Leadership Summit in Austin, TX

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities partnered with Google to co-host a Latinx Student Leadership Summit in Austin, TX, on April 29-30, 2023. Fifty undergraduate student leaders from across the nation with an interest in technology participated in leadership development activities during the two-day summit.

The agenda included breakout discussions, keynote speakers, networking with the Latinx Googler Network, HACU, and Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions. Attendees were provided access to the Google Buddy program, where they were paired with tech and non tech Googlers, who provided personalized tech readiness programming.

The Latinx Student Leadership Summit (formally known as the Hispanic Student Leadership Summit), now in its seventh year, was created as an effort to bring Latinx leaders together to share innovative and creative best practices with one another, as well as collaborate with Google's Latinx leadership to benefit your university, organization, and community.



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
