HACU’s 28th Annual National Capitol Forum features Fireside chat with Secretary of Education and Secretary of Commerce

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities featured a Fireside chat on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, followed by congressional visits to Capitol Hill as part of its two-day 28th Annual National Capitol Forum on Hispanic Higher Education in Washington, D.C.

U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel A. Cardona and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo joined HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores for a Fireside chat conversation.

After the plenary, participants departed for visits with members of Congress and their staff to advance HACU’s legislative priorities. HACU's Government Relations staff secured congressional visits for over 260 participants who visited close to 150 offices. The day concluded with a Capitol Hill Reception.
