Support our mission of Hispanic higher education success
Since 1986, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has touched the lives of generations of students. Gifts from friends, alumni and supporters to La HACHE de HACU, the Hispanic Alliance to Champion Higher Education, help support our mission to champion Hispanic success in higher education.
In 2022, students were among those that benefited from HACU programs:
- 531 college and university students were placed in paid internships nationwide.
- 478 students received academic scholarships ranging from $500 to $15,000.
- 149 college and university students received travel awards to stay connected with family.
- More than 200 college students attended our virtual Emerging Leaders’ Summits designed to prepare students for career opportunities.
- 376 college and university students received scholarships to attend the ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute, a three-day career and leadership development program, attended by 709 students nationwide.
- More than 2,700 college and university administrators, students, federal and nonprofit agencies, and corporate sector partners participated in HACU’s 27th National Capitol Forum and 36th Annual Conference, both virtual events, to learn about best practices in Hispanic higher education and policy issues affecting Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
HACU is thankful for all the contributions that help to support programs that make a big difference in the lives of students.
