The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and the Export-Import Bank of the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Sept. 13, 2022, in Washington, D.C. The primary objective of the MOU is to develop a partnership designed to increase awareness among students, faculty and staff at HACU member institutions regarding programs, activities, careers and employment opportunities at EXIM; and increase awareness at EXIM about opportunities to participate in HACU activities.
The MOU is focused on increasing business and economic-related careers for students attending HSIs, which will in turn facilitate the export of U.S. goods and services opportunities, supporting American jobs. This partnership also strengthens EXIM Bank’s commitment to advance racial justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Other focal areas address increasing internships and employment opportunities at EXIM Bank for students attending HACU-member institutions and supporting capacity enhancement of HACU-member institutions and their faculty.
EXIM Bank is the official export credit agency of the United States. EXIM is an independent Executive Branch agency with a mission of supporting American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services.
The MOU with EXIM Bank continues HACU’s work to provide pathways for college students to gain professional experience while diversifying the federal workforce.
