HACU statement on Senator Luján hospitalization 

SAN ANTONIO – The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities issued the following statement wishing U.S. Senator Ben Ray Luján (N.M.) a speedy and full recovery:

According to a statement issued yesterday by Carlos Sanchez, chief of staff to Senator Luján on the senator’s hospitalization after suffering a stroke, “He is currently being cared for at UNM Hospital, resting comfortably, and expected to make a full recovery.”

“Our thoughts are with Senator Luján who we are fortunate to be able to count on as a champion of students and Hispanic-Serving Institutions,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “We wish him a speedy and full recovery and send our best wishes to his family.”
