The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is providing the following information about an informational session on the administration’s upcoming Puerto Rico Good Jobs Challenge grant opportunity. The Economic Development Administration (EDA) will hold an informational session on the administration’s upcoming Puerto Rico Good Jobs Challenge grant opportunity on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 3-3:45 p.m. EST. This Good Jobs Challenge is a $500 million grant program that aims to fund regional workforce systems and sectoral partnerships that will work with employers to train workers with skills they need to secure quality jobs. Eligible applicants include district organizations, Indian tribes, state/county/city government, institution of higher education, or non-profits including labor unions acting in cooperation with officials of a political subdivision of a State.
The Good Jobs Challenge will award 25-50 grants to organizations to conduct one or more of the following three phases of work:
