The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities will host a virtual International Plenary, "International Education in the Age of COVID-19: Lessons Learned and Futures Imagined," on Oct. 27, 2021, 10:30 a.m.-noon CDT. The International Plenary is part of HACU’s 35^th Annual Conference.

A panel of college and university presidents will share how their campuses have been dealing with the pandemic and how they envision future international education programs. The discussion will include a Question-and-Answer session.

The plenary will be moderated by Sue Henderson, Ph.D., president of New Jersey City University. Speakers will include Irma Becerra-Fernandez, Ph.D., president of Marymount University; Mike Flores, Ph.D., chancellor of Alamo Colleges District; Garnett S. Stokes, Ph.D., president of The University of New Mexico; and Emma Grace Hernández Flores, Ph.D., president of Universidad de Iberoamérica.

The plenary will also highlight the 75^th Anniversary of the Fulbright Program with a special message by the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of State.

HACU’s premier conference on Hispanic higher education provides a unique forum for the sharing of information and ideas for the best and most promising practices in the education of Hispanics and promotes and expands partnerships and strategic alliances for collaboration between institutions and public- and private-sector organizations.
