The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities President and CEO Antonio R. Flores spoke at a free virtual panel discussion on the “The Social Impact of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs),” on March 18, 2021. The event was hosted by TCS Education System as part of the Community Impact Series that focuses on topics related to TCS’s affiliate areas of study that advance student success and positively impact local communities.
Flores joined Jack Paduntin D.B.A, president, Pacific Oaks College and Judy Castro Ed.D., assistant vice president of partnership development, Pacific Oaks College as part of the panel. He discussed HACU advocacy efforts on legislative issues impacting Hispanic-Serving Institutions; the historical perspective of how HSIs came about; the impact of HSI nationwide and the work that is still needed to be done.
