As concerns over COVID-19 continue, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is taking cautionary steps to work effectively while facing the challenges of this pandemic. We are monitoring the situation and have made some adjustments to one of our upcoming events and our operations.

The 25^th Annual Capitol Forum of April 21-22, 2020, in Washington, D.C., has been reset as a virtual event. Our able and dedicated staff is working on providing a first-rate Capitol Forum via ZoomInfo.com and hosted by Pathable.com. HACU has a long-standing partnership with Pathable, Inc., an industry leader in event planning. Additional details on access will be forthcoming soon. After the city of Washington, D.C. declared a state of emergency last week, HACU’s D.C. staff started teleworking through April 24, 2020. Operational guidelines and protocols are set for our D.C. staff to continue working in a seamless manner with HACU’s National Headquarters in San Antonio, TX and Western Regional Office in Sacramento, CA.

HACU is prepared to operate online across all three locations should teleworking be also necessary in San Antonio and Sacramento. We have the operational plan and technology in place to perform all essential tasks and programs remotely.

We are mindful of the seriousness of the Coronavirus threat and its impacts on our member institutions and communities. HACU is ready to work with you to mitigate the effects of this pandemic, particularly on people’s health. As in past times of crisis, HACU, the nation and the world will meet the challenges involved and be better for it.
